CapCut is a free digital editing solution for Windows PCs created by ByteDance. Even though free editing software is usually abysmal, ByteDaqnce has managed to create something that works as intended and does what users would expect it to do. If you’re looking for free editing software that gives you loads of editing options and you don’t mind being under the watchful eye of a national government besides your own, this is a brilliant choice.
If you’re looking for an alternative, try Google’s Picasa. This is another free tool that gives you loads of editing options to choose from. If you’re particularly looking for video editing software, try Adobe Premiere Pro. This is not free software, but given that it carries the name Adobe, you can trust that it’s one of the most capable pieces of editing software on the market.
Beholden to the CCP
As is the case with almost all other Chinese companies, CapCut’s parent, ByteDance, is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party. This means that any information that the app collects amounting to your usage details is stored by the company. At any time, the Chinese government can demand the records that any Chinese company keeps, and take action based on their contents. Whether or not you want your personal information in the hands of a world government is your choice.

You are also required to pass a rather stringent authentication procedure in order to access files on CapCut.

CapCut makes editing videos incredibly easy and gives you free access to all the tools that you might need. In addition to being one of the more capable pieces of editing software on the market, CapCut is also one of the safest.
Of course, that’s only if you take into account that an entire government has access to your information.
